ABOUT THE ARTIST
Growing up in an artsy and outdoorsy family, I love engaging the wilderness through deep contemplation and an artistic eye. This combination allows me to learn from the land and harvest an array of age old wisdom and fresh revelation. My artwork explores themes of grief and grace, resourcefulness and redemption, and the call to sacred stewardship.
Many of the materials that I use in my work are sourced from walks around the city streets and the shorelines and riverbanks around Milwaukee and beyond. This mixed media integration within my paintings awakens my soul. In an age of digital images and glossy surfaces, my work emphasizes the beauty of the human touch through tactile textures and rugged renderings.
